Handphones are now allowed in school

Wow, i'm sure itz a good new for every student
PETALING JAYA: While parents, students and teachers are still debating the pros and cons of the move, the Education Ministry is going ahead with its decision to lift the ban on handphones in schools.
The ministry has directed all state education departments to immediately distribute the guidelines on handphone use to schools so that they can be implemented as soon as possible.
Education director-general Datuk Dr Ahamad Sipon said the Dec 23 circular on the lifting of the ban would not be retracted.
“The ministry has no objection to the usage of handphones in schools so that parents can monitor their children and ensure their safety,” he said in a statement yesterday.
In his circular, Dr Ahamad had cited the increasing number of students owning handphones due to cheaper service charges and handsets as the reason for lifting the ban.
